A Simple Application Process to Benefit from the Spruce Grove City Centre Storefront Improvement Program

Aspiring applicants will receive allocated funds of up to $7,500 for eligible expenses after filling out an application form and submitting it to invest@sprucegrove.org. Building owners or tenants, with written permission from the building owner, are eligible if they meet several requirements.

Instructions for the Spruce Grove City Centre Storefront Improvement Program Application Process

Before applying, each applicant should confirm they meet each requirement:

• Location within the SIP Program Area
• Written consent of the building owner, if different from the business owner 
• Current building and storefront photos 
• Visual and written depictions of the proposed improvements 
• Quotes and pictures of products for purchase 
• Cost quotes from contractors 
• Schedule and completion date

Applicants must submit these items with a completed application form. Before submitting, they shall attend a pre-application meeting to determine necessary permits, followed by application and staff review.

After completion of work, the SIP reimburses up to half of all incurred expenses to a maximum of $7,500 and up to $10,000 for corner businesses with two facades. Funding is first-come, first-served and businesses with plans in mind are encouraged to apply before other projects deplete the earmarked funds.
