Manitoba Aerospace Inc. (MAI), in collaboration with Western Economic Diversification Canada (WD) and Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC), will be hosting the Webinar: Defence Procurement – Opportunities for Western Canadian SMEs on June 23.
Presentations will include:
- Accessing Defence Procurement Opportunities – Tips for Western SMEs (WD) – key information to help you identify defence procurement-related opportunities, including ways that you can participate in these projects, and resources to assist you to become a potential supplier. Presentation will also include an overview of key upcoming defence procurement projects.
- Participating in Federal Government Contracts with Security Requirements (PSPC) – overview of Public Services and Procurement Canada’s Contract Security Program and the process that Canadian suppliers must follow to obtain a security clearance. You will learn about contract security requirements, the types and levels of clearances your organization may need, and what your organization must do to register in the Contract Security Program.
- Case Study (MAI) – hear directly from a Manitoba-based aerospace SME on how they successfully entered the defence market and the lessons learned on their experience.
