ALBERTA GOVERNMENT The Small and Medium Enterprise Relaunch Grant (SMERG) has been extended to June 30. Businesses affected by the April and May COVID-19 public health measures may apply.
The additional payment of up to $10,000 is available to organizations operating before February 29, 2020 as well as new businesses that began operations between March 1, 2020 and April 30, 2021. Hotels, taxis and ride-sharing services are also eligible
The grant offers financial assistance to Alberta businesses, cooperatives, and non-profits with fewer than 500 employees that have faced restrictions or closures due to COVID-related public health orders, while experiencing revenue losses of at least 30%.
