Amazon bringing robotics facility to Parkland County

Amazon is coming to Parkland County and bringing 1,000 jobs with it.
Amazon announced plans to open its first robotics fulfillment centre in the province in the Acheson Industrial Area of Parkland County. Amazon has used the technology abroad since 2012.The facility is expected to create 1,000 full and part time jobs. Set to launch in 2022, the Centre is projected to be 600,000 square feet and will be used for packing and shipping small items to Amazon customers.
““Council is tremendously excited to welcome Amazon to Parkland County. The facility is a major investment and will create a significant number of jobs in the region,” said Parkland County Mayor Rod Shaigec.
