Spruce Grove council received the 2020 annual report from the Allied Arts Council (AAC), and heard how the local non-profit organization persevered through the pandemic, during a regular council meeting on June 28.

“For 40 years, the City of Spruce Grove has supported the work of the Allied Arts Council and its mission of promoting and developing the visual arts for the enrichment of our community,” said David Wolanski, general manager of community and protective services with the City of Spruce Grove.

In a presentation to council, AAC executive director Rebecca New, shared details of the past year including the organization’s achievements in 2020, the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic as well as their hopes and plans for this year and the future.
