30 Jun 2026
Alert, news
City Council approved a City Centre Tax Incentive Program intended to encourage commercial and mixed-use redevelopment within Spruce Grove's City Centre. Eligible area includes First Avenue and McLeod Avenue precincts between King Street and Calahoo Road as set out in the City Centre Area Redevelopment Plan (ARP).
The program is designed to incentivize private-sector investment, encourage redevelopment of underutilized properties, and advance the long-term vision established through the City Centre ARP.
By providing a property tax abatement, the program helps improve project viability and cashflow by reducing expenses in the early years of project development. All applications are evaluated in accordance with the City Centre Tax Incentive Bylaw and require Council approval.
For more information about the program, contact Jodi Fulford at jfulford@sprucegrove.org.
