Building capacity of local non-profits and charities

The Tri-Municipal Region Community Development Planning Committee is working collaboratively to support the success of local non-profit organizations and charities. "Don’t Just Survive, Thrive" is a one-day conference on November 2, 2024 featuring sessions on building sustainability, volunteer management, leadership and organizational capacity.

“Non-profits in the Tri-Municipal Region fill critical needs in our communities,” said Town of Stony Plain Mayor William Choy. “From food provision and basic needs, to senior supports, sports and recreation, arts and culture, entrepreneurship and more, non-profits and charities have worked together to provide vital programs and services for everyday citizens in our communities.”

The conference takes place at at Supreme Steel in Acheson and will provide a platform to share resources and successes, enhance collaboration and discuss challenges.
