Spruce Grove, Stony Plain celebrate Alberta Culture Days

Residents across the Tri-Region celebrated culture, arts, dance and music at events in Spruce Grove and Stony Plain, as part of Alberta Culture Days, Sept. 24 to 26.
While several events were cancelled due to current health restrictions, including the annual Harvest Festival at the Stony Plain and Parkland Pioneer Museum, there were several in person, outdoor and online events held at a variety of venues last weekend at various locations throughout the region.
In Spruce Grove, the Spruce Grove Public Library in partnership with the Allied Arts Council, presented an adult writing workshop, a virtual blanket exercise and an Indigenous cultural performance, by Powwow Times dance troupe in Central Park on Saturday afternoon.
