New School Under Construction to Replace Spruce Grove Composite High School!

news
Exciting changes are coming to the Parkland School Division, as Spruce Grove Composite High School is set to be replaced with a brand-new, modern facility, which will increase the school’s capacity from 1,277 to 1,910 for Grades 10 to 12 students. The $128.5 million project is located immediately east of the existing school.
With Spruce Grove's steady population growth, the Division has long emphasized the need to address space constraints and ensure that the school can meet both current and future student enrolment needs.
In October 2024, the Government of Alberta approved construction funding, marking a major milestone in turning the vision of a new state-of-the-art school into a reality.
Graham Construction has been awarded the contract to build the replacement school. Site work started on the project in September 2025. Stay tuned for updates.
