Spruce Grove to open new electric vehicle charging stations in May

In partnership with the Municipal Climate Change Action Centre (MCCAC) twelve new electric vehicle (EV) charging stations have been installed in three locations around Spruce Grove and are expected to be ready for public use in May.
“This is going to be an exciting addition to our city and aligns with one of the themes in Council’s Strategic Plan, which is Environmental Sustainability for our community,” said Mayor Jeff Acker.
The charging stations are located at City Hall, the Agrena, and Fuhr Sports Park. While installation is complete, the City said the EV charging stations still require some additional setup before they will be available for public use. Therefore, the charging stations remain behind fencing.
