GOVERNMENT OF ALBERTA Eligible employers can receive government funding to help employees and unemployed Albertans access training opportunities. Effective February 18th, 2021 until February 28th, 2022, the program has expanded to include the following criteria:
- Eligible training now includes employed family members of eligible employers
- Business owners (incorporated, unincorporated/sole-proprietor and partnerships) with 4 or fewer employees are now eligible to train themselves
- Training is no longer required to be incremental.
The Canada-Alberta Job Grant (CAJG) allows for training to start within 9 months of grant approval and must be completed within 15 months of the training start date. Learn more.
