The city centre is moving forward with its new look.
Spruce Grove council was presented with three options and chose option two, as the preferred McLeod Ave. streetscape design and construction in the city centre, as part of the City Centre Area Redevelopment at a regular council meeting on June 28.
During the meeting, Mark Hussey, director of engineering with the City of Spruce Grove presented three design options for council to choose from. He was joined by Corey Levasseur, general manager of planning and infrastructure with the City of Spruce Grove.
“This evening administration is presenting three options for the McLeod Ave. Streetscape from King to Queen (street),” said Hussey. “Over the last number of months, administration has worked with our consultant, ISL Engineering, as well as the City Centre Business Association in order to develop these options….key discussions with fire services took place in order to discuss the requirements under the fire code and these were taken into account in our options being presented tonight.”
