The Shape of Our Community, Spruce Grove adopts new Municipal Development Plan

Spruce Grove’s new Municipal Development Plan (MDP) is in place.

During their Sept. 9 council meeting, Spruce Grove approved the new MDP called The Shape of Our Community. This MDP sets the groundwork for future growth and development in Spruce Grove for the next 20 to 30 years by building on the community’s core values and improving quality of life.

“Over the last two years, the input from City Administration, Council and community members has been fantastic; everyone really came together to help shape this MDP,” said Mayor Jeff Acker. “This guiding document captures our principles and values and moves the City forward. When we look to fundamental strategic planning, the MDP will continue to build our community connections for the next 20-30 years through major community development plans. I’m very supportive of this wonderful resource that has been developed and thank all those who contributed to the MDP.”
