Council approved the new 2023-28 Economic Development Strategy & Action Plan at the May 23 Council meeting. The Strategy is a collaboration between the City and the Economic Development Advisory Committee.
This is a 5-year strategy that sets out the Goals, Objectives, and Actions to be implemented. The key priorities are growing the non-residential tax base, increasing supply of serviced industrial land, expanding and diversifying the local employment base, revitalizing the City Centre, and attracting multi-family and seniors housing.
