A Gala in Celebration of a Growing Community Garden

The ever popular Spruce Grove Agricultural Community Garden needs your help to grow!

Since its creation in 2019, the community garden has grown every year and the Spruce Grove and District Agricultural Heritage Society have had no problem filling its plots. Now the Community Garden Committee, a sub committee of the Ag Society, is inviting residents to show their support for the garden at the Winter Blooms Gala on Feb. 11.

“The gala will be a formal dinner and dance fundraiser. Our goal is to raise money to support the building of a stone pathway through the garden site. This was part of the original plan for the garden when it was first dreamed about in 2019. All of our boxes have been built, we’re full to capacity with our garden boxes, so the goal now is to enhance the space a bit,” - Teresa Bateman, Chair of the Spruce Grove Community Garden Committee.

Tickets can be purchased at bit.ly/WinterBloomsGala and will be $75. Proceeds from the event will go toward installing a stone walking path at the community garden site for residents with accessibility issues.
