The City of Spruce Grove is committed to enhancing its economic ecosystem, focusing on small businesses and startups, as outlined in the Strategic Plan 2022-2025. This plan emphasizes connecting entrepreneurs with opportunities and developing a robust business support program.
Key goals of the Economic Development Strategy and Action Plan 2023-2028 include:
- Enhancing the quality of life
- Retaining and expanding existing businesses
- Attracting new investments
- Ensuring sufficient employment lands
- Supporting entrepreneurship and innovation
During Small Business Week, the City of Spruce Grove is proud to announce a new program designed to provide valuable resources, mentorship, and support for our startups and early-stage businesses, aiming to nurture innovation, create a thriving business ecosystem, and ensure that our small businesses have the tools they need to grow and prosper.
The Early-Stage Business Support Program (BSP) will focus on:
- Delivering programs to support start-ups and early-stage businesses.
- Collaborating with regional and local partners to enhance business growth.
- Building a mentorship network to guide entrepreneurs.
- Fostering innovation through a supportive business ecosystem.
The BSP will be led by Economic Development Business Specialist, Monique Pelletier, who will manage program components, engage stakeholders, and foster partnerships.
