Owner Darrell started with the company as a salesman in 1994. In 2006, he officially acquired Lea-Der Group of Companies, driving its international growth. Today, the company operates out of a 10,000-square-foot facility in Spruce Grove, employing a dedicated team of 12.

In 2022, Lea-Der achieved ISO certification, securing a contract to supply safety solutions for 130 offshore rigs in Abu Dhabi. More recently, Leader International partnered with a Houston-based firm to strengthen its presence in South America.
