Employer of the Year Award

Each year, the City of Spruce Grove presents the Employer of the Year Award to a deserving Spruce Grove based business.  Employees can nominate their employer, recognizing them for their excellence in leadership, empowering teams, and inspiring futures.

Nominate a Spruce Grove business!

Use the online form below to nominate a business that you believe is an outstanding employer. Nominations close on August 31 of each year and those received between September 1 and December 31 of the current year will be applied to the award for the following year.

Award Criteria

• The business must be located within the Spruce Grove municipal boundaries.
• The person making the nomination cannot be the owner and must be an employee of the business.

When making your nomination, incorporate the following considerations where possible.

• Employee Engagement: Commitment to creating a positive work environment that encourages employee participation and feedback.
• Workplace Culture: Fosters a workplace culture of belonging, community, engagement, and accessibility.
• Employee Development: Offers skills development and career advancement opportunities for employees.

• Recognition and Rewards: Recognizes employees for their contributions and achievements.
• Safety Standards: Maintains a safe and healthy work environment, adhering to safety regulations and best practices.
• Leadership and Management: Shows effective leadership that inspires and motivates employees.
