Noranco Transport
Whether it’s a single B-train load of construction supplies or a hundred loads of crates destined for Tuktoyaktuk, NWT, Noranco Transport is well-known for providing high-quality, customizable transportation and logistics services. The company, which moved operations to Spruce Grove in 1992, has been a preferred hauler in the construction, oilfield, and oversize transportation industry in Western and Northern Canada, Ontario, and Alaska for 35 years.
“Bringing the business to Spruce Grove in the early 1990s was the best move I ever made. We needed a bigger yard and a larger shop. We haven’t looked back,” says owner, Norm Austin.
“Being in Spruce Grove saves us time in so many ways – there isn’t the city traffic to deal with and access to the major highways is crucial for us. We also deal local as much as possible and today much more is available here. But when parts or supplies are needed from Edmonton, we are close enough that companies will deliver. it’s all here, everything we need. Spruce Grove is home.”
On six acres in the Spruce Grove Business Park, Noranco Transport now has 12 trucks and four lease operators, ready to move just about anything, anywhere. Diversifying its capabilities and the services it offers has been instrumental in Noranco Transport’s success in becoming a leader in the oil, gas, B-train, and oversize transportation industry.
